Flux Decapitat’r

Derby Name:  Flux Decapitat’r
Derby Number:  1.21 GW
What does your derby name mean to you:  I guess it means I’m a nerdy 80s child, plus I’ll chop your head off.
Favorite Position:  The one where I’m not falling as much.
How you found out about roller derby:  Went to see a bout with some friends and loooved it. About 6 months later, I decided I’d show up to recruitment night.
Date you started with the Jacksonville Roller Girls:  February 2011
Favorite derby moment during a bout:  I didn’t play, but it was so awesome to be part of the April 2011 double-header against Knoxville’s A and B teams at the UNF arena. JRG won both bouts and sooo many fans were there to see it! And I got to see my first Goblynn (Knox skater) crawl, which spooked me in a most spectacular way!
Favorite derby moment during an after party:  Well, there are some specific ones that come to mind, but in general, it’s the dancing…always the dancing (particularly when “Get Low” or “Baby Got Back” comes on).
Favorite after party drink:  A decent cold beer in one hand and water in the other
Favorite bout you played in:  RCRP vs Gainesville Roller Rebels, October 2011
What are your favorite skates:  My Reidell 965s with Revenge plates aren’t too shabby.
What are your favorite wheels:  Quickie Stickies are the only ones I’ve tried so far and they work just fine.
Do you have a derby wife:  Nope; but I do have an awesome derby family!
What should your opponent know about you before a bout:  Watch those high blocks, please!
What should your fans know about you:  That I think they rock; and also, thanks for the fun signs! :)
